IPL 2025 Gujarat Titans Fast Bowler Kagiso Rabada Returns to South Africa Due to Personal Reasons

New Delhi: Fast bowler Kagiso Rabada has left the Gujarat Titans team in IPL 2025 and returned to South Africa. They have gone back for personal reasons. The franchise said in a statement that Rabada went to ‘settle an important private affair’. The team has not given the date of their return. Rabada played the first two matches of Gujrat. In the match against Punjab Kings, he took 1 wicket for 41 runs. In the match against Mumbai Indians, he took 1 wicket for 42 runs and won the team.

Rabada did not play against RCB

The third match of Gujarat Titans was against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rabada was not part of the playing XI in that match. Captain Shubman Gill had told at the time of the toss that Rabada was not playing for personal reasons. All -rounder Arshad Khan was included in the team in place of Rabada. Arshad dismissed Virat Kohli. In this match, the Gujarat team landed with only three foreign players.

No information on returning

Information about when Kagiso Rabada will return is not given. He is the prominent fast bowler of the team and his no longer is a big shock for Gujarat. The team has garald coitzi from South Africa itself, but whether they get a chance or not, it will be a matter to be seen. The Gujarat team lost to Punjab in their first match. But then the team has reached fourth place in the table after defeating Mumbai Indians and RCB.

The Gujarat team has two leading fast bowler Mohammad Siraj and famous Krishna of the Indian team. Both are bowling in rhythms. Apart from this, Ishant Sharma Gurnur Brar and Kulwant Khejrolia are also in the team. Gujarat has to play its next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 6 April.
