The wholesale and retail sales of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) were flat during the financial year 2025. The company sold 4,00,898 vehicles in bulk while sales at retail level were 4,28,854 vehicles. In the fourth quarter, retail sales were reduced by 5.1 per cent to 1,08,232 vehicles while wholesale sales increased by 1.1 per cent and sold 1,11,413 vehicles.
Interestingly, the company’s wholesale sales in North America have increased by 14.4 per cent during the fourth quarter. JLR stopped shipment for the US in April after US President Donald Trump imposed 25 per cent duty on vehicles imports. The company has no plant in the US and exports cars to the US from the UK and Slovakia plant. America is the most important market for JLR as a quarter of the total sales.
On the other hand, China also remains a problem in the global sales of JLR. In the fourth quarter of FY 2025, wholesale sales in China declined by 29.4 per cent. On the other hand, sales in North America increased by 14.4 per cent and Europe by 10.9 per cent and sales in Britain were flat at 0.8 per cent.
