Assistant Professor Doctors working in Ziauddin Dental College today came on foot to the Registrar Office, the administrative building of the University and protested with posters and banners in their hands. While protesting, he told the things related to his demand to the university administration.
False assurance is being given to doctors since last 10 years
The protesting doctors say that they have been working on the post of Assistant Professor for the last ten years, but they are not getting promotion. When it comes to promotion, the university administration only asks us to wait. Later he retreats from it. Our arrears and salary are not increasing at all.
What is DACP Scheme?
Dynamic Assured Career Progression (DACP) is a scheme launched by the Central Government to ensure career progression, financial benefits for doctors and eliminate disparities in promotion and rank. It was implemented by UGC in 2008. Under this scheme, promotion or financial upgradation of doctors is to be ensured four times during their service period.
Already implemented in big medical institutions like DU, BHU
The DACP scheme is already implemented in many leading medical institutions of India, such as Delhi University (DU) and Banaras Hindu University (BHU). DU implemented it in 2013 and BHU in 2015. Although it was planned to be implemented in Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College of AMU in the year 2018, but even after 6 years it has not been implemented. AMU doctors allege that due to unnecessary delay and apathy of the university administration, it has not been implemented yet. Has not been implemented till now.
