Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has accused Delhi LG regarding Shakur Basti of Delhi. He says that LG has changed the land use of this land. Now Delhi LG V.K. Responding to these allegations, Saxena said that Kejriwal should stop lying otherwise DDA will take action against him.
‘DDA did not change the land use’
Delhi Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena said, ‘Today Arvind Kejriwal went near the slums of Shakur Basti. The statement he gave there regarding Shakur Basti is completely false. Referring to the DDA meeting of 27th December, he said that LG has changed the land use of this land (Shakur Basti land).
He said, ‘DDA has neither changed the land use of this colony nor has DDA given any eviction or demolition notice. Kejriwal is deliberately lying and misleading people. Kejriwal’s two MLAs were present in the DDA meeting on 27th December.
‘Kejriwal should stop lying’
Delhi LG said, ‘My advice to him (Arvind Kejriwal) is that he should stop lying on this subject with immediate effect otherwise DDA will take action against him.’ Actually, Arvind Kejriwal had reached a slum in Shakur Basti on Sunday. Attacking BJP here, he claimed that Railways has tendered the land of this slum on September 30, 2024.
What allegations did Kejriwal make?
He said that the people living here do not even know. Some BJP person has given me the papers related to the tender, so I am coming here and telling. Arvind Kejriwal accused BJP of betraying the slum dwellers of Delhi.
He went to the slum of Shakur Basti and said that on December 27, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi changed the land use of this land. He said that BJP leaders are coming to the slums and playing carrom with you and as soon as the elections are over on February 8, these people will demolish your slums. Will not wait even for two days.
