The ambulance going to Punjab carrying the bodies of three terrorists of Khalistan Zindabad Force killed in the joint action of Punjab Police and Uttar Pradesh Police in Pilibhit met with an accident late on Tuesday night. An unknown vehicle hit an ambulance on Rampur bypass. As soon as information about this accident was received, there was panic in Rampur Police. All the senior police and administrative officers of the district reached the spot and transferred the bodies of the three terrorists from the damaged ambulance to another ambulance and sent them to Punjab.
It is fortunate that the Punjab Police personnel and driver in the ambulance narrowly escaped this accident. While giving information about this incident on phone to Aaj Tak, Rampur Superintendent of Police Vidyasagar Mishra said that while taking the bodies of three terrorists from Pilibhit to Punjab late at night, the ambulance was hit by an unknown vehicle on Rampur bypass. The ambulance got damaged after the accident. As soon as the information was received, police and administration officials reached the spot and transferred the three bodies to another ambulance and sent them to Punjab.

Two days ago, three terrorists of Khalistan Zindabad Force were killed in an encounter with a joint team of Punjab Police and Uttar Pradesh Police in Puranpur, Pilibhit. Two AK-47 rifles, two pistols and a large quantity of live cartridges were recovered from them. After completing the post-mortem and other legal formalities, the Punjab Police took the bodies of the three terrorists to their home state. These three terrorists were involved in the grenade attack on the police post in Gurdaspur, Punjab and the Punjab Police was looking for them.

The location of all three was found in Puranpur, Pilibhit. Here, Punjab Police, with the help of Pilibhit Police, surrounded the three accused in the early hours of 24th December. Police had an encounter with these Khalistani terrorists near Hardoi Branch Canal. The entire area was shaken by the sound of bullets. Panic spread in the surrounding villages. People were not able to understand what happened. All three terrorists were shot in the encounter with the police. The police took them in injured condition to CHC Puranpur, where all three were declared dead. Two constables were also injured in the encounter.
