After both his lungs failed, Mahant was advised by doctors four years ago not to go out of the ashram, but on the strength of his willpower and faith, Mahant decided to come to Mahakumbh. He told that this Kumbh is very important for me. Whatever happens, all three will not go back without taking a royal bath. Indra Giri, who came from Hisar, Haryana, has been associated with Avahan Akhara for 4 decades.

Indra Giri has been doing Panch Agni Dhuni penance since the year 2020. Even in the year 2000, he did penance sitting in the middle of the Havan Kund made of pots on five sides. In the scorching heat, the body started getting scorched by the fire of the big Havan Kund from five sides. Meanwhile, one of his disciples had unknowingly poured a bucket of water on his body, after which he developed fever and his health deteriorated. Doctors told him that both his lungs were damaged.

They ask each person who reaches the Avahan Akhara and make them sit in the queue. After taking Bhog Prasad, they also give Dakshina with their own hands. Baba says that even if he loses his life during the Kumbh Mela on the banks of Sangam in Prayagraj, the doors of salvation will open for him.
