Lafayette Meteorite Water on Mars – Mars rock sat in university drawer for 93 years astonishing discovery revealed
Purdue University is in Indiana, America. In the year 1931, a black stone was found in a drawer here. No one present there knows how this stone came into that drawer. But the colour, shape and structure of the stone that came out of the drawer was different. Therefore investigation was started.
For 92 years it was only known that it was a stone from another planet. But a recent study has revealed that this stone, known as Lafayette meteorite, has come from Mars. How did the black stone come from red colored Mars? The gases present inside this 2 inch big stone revealed that it is a stone from Mars.

Evidence of this was also found from NASA’s Viking Lander. Who had examined similar stones on Mars. This stone was also examined. The gases present inside it were studied. It was revealed that it was formed by the mixing of ancient minerals and liquid water. This study was recently published in Geochemical Perspective Letters. Journal Has been published in.
Seas of ice and rivers of hot lava
Marissa Tremblay, assistant professor in the Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences at Purdue University, said that at present there is not enough water on the surface of Mars. But this stone tells us that water was present on Mars 742 million years ago. In fact, there was water in the permafrost even millions of years ago. But due to magmatic activity i.e. flowing of lava, they melted. They evaporated into steam.

A stone had fallen near a child who was fishing
There is no concrete information as to when this stone came to earth. But people around Indiana say that in 1919, some children went out on a fishing trip. Then this meteorite fell near a child who was fishing. The child picked it up after it cooled down. After examining the stone, it was found that this stone got separated from Mars 11 million years ago due to the collision of some stone. Which fell on earth while revolving in space.
