Due to the ongoing Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, a huge crowd of devotees is gathering at Charbagh railway station. Everyone is trying to reach Prayagraj for a virtuous bath in the confluence, but trains are already packed. The situation has become such that many passengers have to wait for hours, yet they are not able to make a place in the train.

Claims have been made by the railway administration to make special arrangements for Kumbh passengers, but the reality is telling something else. Many trains are running late by four to seven hours, due to which the passengers are upset. Many passengers are stranded at the station and the police and GRP jawans were seen trying to control the crowd.

A female passenger named Sunita said that she has been standing to catch the train for hours, but has not been able to climb due to the huge crowd. Many other passengers also made similar complaints. There is an atmosphere of chaos at the station. In many places, there is a debate between policemen and passengers.

Administration claims, ‘Our preparation complete

Prashant Kumar, director of Charbagh railway station, said that we have made complete preparations. It has been arranged for the last minute changes at the station. Special trains are being run for Kumbh, and additional trains are also being arranged as the crowd increases.

At the same time, DCP Central Zone Raveena Tyagi said that we have tightened security at the station. The crowd is being controlled in collaboration with the GRP, railway department, so that all the devotees can reach Prayagraj safely. Holding area has been created for passengers when the crowd is high, where they are being stopped in a controlled manner.

However, due to the increasing number of passengers and delays of trains, the situation is currently out of control. Despite the arrangements made by the railway and administration, passengers are facing a lot of trouble.
