A businessman from Lucknow became a victim of fraud. The alleged astrologer committed such a crime with them that even the police were shocked to know about it. To recover the business from loss, the astrologer extorted lakhs of rupees from them in the name of ritual. At present, the victim has complained to the police. Actually, businessman Hemant Kumar Rai’s company was doing good business. But in the year 2023 the company suddenly started incurring losses. Businessman Hemant started getting worried due to this. He started searching for an astrologer on Google. During this time, the businessman found an astrologer by the name ‘Priya Baba Astrologer’ on Google.
According to the businessman, Astrologer Priya Baba Astrologer told him that someone has done black magic. Because of this there is loss in business. To reduce the effect of this black magic, one has to go to the crematorium and perform the rituals at night. It will cost Rs 64.65 lakh to complete it.
Unfortunately, businessman Hemant Kumar Rai got influenced by the astrologer’s words. He gave him Rs 64.65 lakh. But later he came to know that he was cheated. In such a situation, he complained about the whole matter to the police and cyber crime cell. Since then the police team was investigating the case.
The Lucknow Cyber Crime Cell team worked on this case for about 3 months on the basis of the bank account number and mobile number given by the victim. Out of the Rs 44.49 deposited in the businessman’s account, Rs 44.49 were seized. Now it was successful in getting the amount of Rs 44.49 lakh returned to the businessman.
However, the police have not yet caught the accused astrologer. But efforts are on to catch him. At present, the businessman has got back Rs 44 lakh. The accused had withdrawn the remaining money from the account.
