Another big fraud related to real estate has come to light in Lucknow, the capital of UP. Five new FIRs have been registered against the Ansal Housing Company at Sushant Golf City police station. The company is alleged to have recovered more than Rs 50 lakh from many customers in the name of getting flats, shops and plots, but neither land nor amount was returned.
In Lucknow, real estate traders are being screwed. There were already several complaints against the Ansal company, now five more victims have filed an FIR in Sushant Golf City police station. All the complainants said that they had invested in the company’s projects. Some were promised to get a shop, while some are flat or plot. The company took lakhs of rupees in the form of booking amounts and installments, but neither gave property nor refunds money on time.
The complainants include some retired employees, businessmen and middle class families. Everyone told that the representatives of the company caught them in sweet promises and recovered the money. After the passage of time, when they went to the site, the land was either incomplete or there was no construction work. Even after contacting several times, the company did not give any satisfactory answer.
Taking seriously the complaints, Sushant Golf City Police has registered five different FIRs against Ansal Housing. Police officials say that investigation of the case has been started and soon legal action will be taken against the responsible people.
