The schedule of the date, sequence and time of ‘Amrit Snan’ of 13 Akharas of Sanatan Dharma has been released on the occasion of Makar Sankranti and Basant Panchami in the Maha Kumbh Mela. Amrit Snan will be performed as per the traditionally prescribed sequence. Mahant Acharya Devendra Singh Shastri, Secretary of Shri Panchayati Akhara Nirmal, confirmed that the Akharas have received information about the time and sequence of Amrit Snan.

Maha Kumbh Mela DIG Vaibhav Krishna said that 9 police teams will take all the 13 Akharas one after the other for Amrit Snan. This sequence will continue till evening. Police and CAPF teams have been deployed there. During this time the confluence will be divided into two parts. In one part the Akharas will take the holy dip, on the other side other devotees will take the dip and security forces will be present in between to ensure smooth management.

Amrit bath sequence on Makar Sankranti

– On Makar Sankranti (today), Shri Panchayati Akhara Mahanirvani and Shri Shambhu Panchayati Atal Akhara will be the first to take Amrit Snan. Both the Akharas will depart from the camp at 5:15 am, reach the ghat at 6:15 am, and take bath for 40 minutes. Will leave for the camp at 6.55 am from the ghat and will reach the camp at 7.55 am.

– Shri Taponidhi Panchayati Shri Niranjani Akhara and Shri Panchayati Akhara will be the other Akharas to take Anand Amrit Snan. Their departure time from the camp will be 6.05 am, arrival time at the ghat will be 7.05 am. He will take bath for 40 minutes. Departure time from the ghat will be 7.45 am and arrival time at the camp will be 8.45 am.

– At the third place, three Sanyasi Akhara will take bath in Amrit. These include Shri Panchdasnam Juna Akhara, Shri Panchdasnam Aavahan Akhara and Shri Panchagni Akhara. Their departure time from the camp will be 7 am, arrival time at the ghat will be 8 am, bathing time will be 40 minutes. Departure time from the ghat will be 8.40 am and arrival time at the camp will be 9.40 am.

Order of Bairegi and Udasin Akharas

Bairegi Akhara

Among the three Bairagi Akharas, the first All India Shri Panch Nirmohi Ani Akhara will leave the camp at 9.40 am and reach the ghat at 10.40 am and after taking bath for 30 minutes, it will leave the ghat at 11.10 am and reach the camp at 12.10 pm.
– All India Shri Panch Digambar Ani Akhara will leave the camp at 10.20 am and reach the ghat at 11.20 am and after taking bath for 50 minutes, will leave the ghat at 12.10 pm and will return to the camp at 1.10 am.
-All India Shri Panch Nirvani Ani Akhara will leave the camp at 11.20 am and reach the ghat at 12.20 pm. After taking bath for 30 minutes, will return at 12.50 and reach the camp at 1.50.

– Udasin Shri Panchayati New Udasin Akhara will leave its cantonment at 12.15 pm and reach the ghat at 1.15 pm. After taking bath for 55 minutes, it will leave the ghat at 2.10 and reach the cantonment at 3.10.
– After this, it is the turn of Shri Panchayati Akhara, the new Udasin Nirvana, which will leave the cantonment at 1.20 pm and reach the ghat at 2.20 pm. After taking bath here for an hour, it will leave the ghat at 3.20 pm and reach the cantonment at 4.20 pm.
– Shri Panchayati Nirmal Akhara will take the nectar bath at the end. This Akhara will leave the cantonment at 2.40 pm and reach the ghat at 3.40 pm. After bathing for 40 minutes, it will leave the ghat at 4.20 pm and reach the camp at 5.20 pm.

Special preparations at ghats and camps

The Mahakumbh administration has ensured that this bathing sequence is completed with traditional respect and discipline. Special security and facilities have been arranged at the ghats and camps. This bath is a symbol of religious and cultural traditions for Mahakumbh 2025, which will become a center of faith for millions of devotees.
