Five people lost their lives in a tragic accident in Nashik, Maharashtra on Sunday. In fact, in the evening, five people died and many others were injured in a horrific collision between a tempo and a truck near Dwarka Circle. The accident happened near Ayyappa Temple at around 7:30 pm.

According to the news agency report, the police said that there were 16 passengers in the tempo, who were returning from a religious program. The tempo was going towards CIDCO area when on the way the tempo driver lost control of the vehicle and hit a truck laden with iron rods from behind. The collision was so severe that some passengers died on the spot.
Police, fire brigade personnel and local people together started rescue operations immediately. The accident site was a crowded area, due to which there were many problems in the relief work. The people injured in the accident have been admitted to the district hospital and nearby private hospitals. According to police and health officials, the condition of some of the injured is critical, due to which the death toll is expected to increase.
Driver could not control the vehicle
Police said in the initial investigation that the tempo driver had lost control of the vehicle, due to which the accident occurred. The police is investigating the entire matter and the truck driver is also being interrogated.
Local people have expressed grief over the incident, the administration has assured all possible assistance to the families of the deceased. A special team has been deployed for better treatment of the injured.
