Aamir Khan, the accused wanted in the case of murder of an inter college principal in Bhadohi district of Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.
According to the news agency report, the accused was arrested near Terminal-1 when he was trying to flee to Mumbai to avoid arrest. According to the police, this arrest was made on Thursday at around 12.40 pm.
This incident took place on October 21, 2024, when Yogendra Bahadur Singh, Principal of Inder Bahadur Singh National Inter College, Bhadohi, was shot dead. According to the police, two armed attackers came riding on a motorcycle and attacked Singh’s car. The principal was immediately taken to the hospital, but his life could not be saved.
Investigation by Uttar Pradesh Police revealed that there was a deep conspiracy behind this murder. The police had considered Aamir Khan as one of the main accused in this conspiracy, after which a reward of Rs 50,000 was announced for his arrest.
Special operation for arrest
Based on a tip-off, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police laid a trap near the airport and arrested Aamir Khan. During interrogation, Aamir admitted his involvement and revealed that the murder was part of a revenge plan against key conspirator Saurabh.
According to the police, Aamir Khan is a resident of Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh and is a truck driver by profession. He has a criminal history. He was arrested for the first time on charges of house breaking and assault. Aamir Khan will now be handed over to Uttar Pradesh Police, where further investigation will take place.
