Five youths brutally beat up a young man due to old enmity in Bajout village of Lohia Nagar police station area of Meerut. As soon as the video of this incident went viral on social media, the police came into action and arrested two accused in the case, while the search for others is going on. The injured youth is undergoing treatment in the hospital.
The incident took place at around 2:30 pm on March 7, when a young man named Vinay was returning home from Ganganagar with money from the shop. Then on the way, Alexander Lodi, Akhilesh, Nitin, Sunny and Guru stopped him. The accused snatched 30 thousand rupees and mobile from Vinay, and when he protested, he started beating him brutally.
Youth beaten up due to old enmity
It can be seen in the video that Vinay was killed by brick and a pistol was also seen near one of the accused. On the basis of the tahrir of Vinay’s father Satveer, the police registered a case against the five accused. Taking action, the police have arrested two accused Sunny and Akhilesh.
Investigation revealed that there were already three criminal cases against Sunny and four against Akhilesh. Police say the incident was the result of old enmity. Two months ago there was a fight between Vinay and Alexander, in which Alexander was beaten up. To avenge the same, Alexander along with his colleagues beat up Vinay and made the video viral.
Police arrested two accused
On this incident, SP City Ayush Vikram said that sections of SC-ST Act have also been added in the case. Two police teams are working to arrest the remaining accused.
