Bollywood actress Dia Mirza recently shared a series of rare throwback photos from the 2000 Miss India event, where she was crowned the winner. The actress took to social media to post the nostalgic pictures, captioning them with a heartfelt note.

She wrote, “Throwing it back to the beginning of a new millennium. 15th of January 2000. The Femina Miss India Contest was a truly grand spectacle! We had the most amazing women participating from across the country. Each of them has gone on to create their own unique story.”
Dia also fondly remembered the iconic judges who were part of the event, including Shahrukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, and Waheeda Rehman, among others. She also thanked the beautiful Malaika Arora and Rahul Khanna for hosting the event, and Omung Kumar for designing the spectacular set.
The actress also mentioned the question-and-answer round, which was a crucial part of the contest. She expressed her gratitude to Hemant Trivedi and Nayanika Chatterjee for mentoring and choreographing the show, and to Bharat and Doris Godambe for doing her hair and makeup.
As she looked back on the life-changing event, Dia reflected on the paradigm shift that had occurred in her life 25 years ago. “It’s been 25 years since this paradigm shift. And I am grateful for it,” she wrote, expressing her heartfelt thanks for the opportunities that had come her way.
