A 26 -year -old man was shot dead in Kadipur Kotwali area of ​​Sultanpur district in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday night due to mutual rivalry. A victim named Rakesh Vishwakarma was shot in the left part of the chest. The attackers ran away firing in the air to spread panic. The police has given this information on Friday.

According to the police, the family members of the victim first took him to the Kadipur Community Health Center (CHC), but due to his condition being critical, the doctors referred him to the Government Medical College, where he was declared dead. On receiving the information of the incident, Superintendent of Police (SP) Kunwar Anupam Singh visited the spot and started the investigation. According to officials, Vishwakarma, a resident of Malikpur Nonara, came out of his house after having dinner, when armed attackers riding on motorcycle fired bullets at him. He fired many bullets and fell on the road, while the attackers escaped from the spot.

Dr. Pawan Singh, who treated him in the medical college, said, “The patient had died before the treatment started.” Angry family members created a ruckus in the hospital after the incident and later protested, demanding justice by placing the dead body on the road outside the hospital gate. Local officials said that many cases have been registered against both the victims and the attackers and the attack is allegedly the result of the dispute.

SP Kunwar Anupam Singh confirmed that the attack took place due to personal enmity and several suspects have been detained for questioning. SP Singh said, ‘The attackers have a criminal history and many cases are also registered against the victim. We are all investigating from possible angles. The accused will not be spared under any circumstances.
