A 19-year-old man has been arrested for killing a seven-month pregnant girl and burying her body in a pit in Haryana. Two people have already been arrested in this case, including the victim’s lover. The accused has been identified as Sohit alias Hrithik, resident of Sonipat, Haryana. Police is investigating this matter.
According to the police, on October 21, a 19-year-old girl had gone missing from her house in Delhi’s Nangloi area. She was seven months pregnant. After coming to the notice of this matter, the police started investigation. Preliminary investigation revealed that his associate Salim alias Sanju, along with his associates Sohit and Pankaj, had conspired to kidnap him to escape.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Satish Kumar said that they strangled the girl. After this, his body was taken to Medina village of Rohtak, Haryana, where they buried the body. A case was registered on 24 October. After this, two accused Salim and Pankaj were arrested. Here, Sohit absconded as soon as he got information about the police investigation.
DCP said that based on information, a police team laid a trap near Singhasan Banquet in Rohtak on Friday. During this time Sohit was caught. During police interrogation, Sohit has accepted his involvement in this planned murder. He has revealed that on the day of the incident, Salim contacted his pregnant girlfriend with a plan to murder her.
As part of the conspiracy, Salim took his girlfriend away from her house. After this, Salim, Pankaj and Sohit together strangulated the girl. After her death, he buried her body and ran away. In this case, Delhi Police, searching for the girl, reached Medina village of Rohtak. The girl’s body was recovered after digging the grave there. After this the case came to light.
