Earthquake tremors have been felt once again in Myanmar. Two earthquakes occurred on Tuesday, the most powerful earthquake intensity was measured at 4.7. According to the National Earthquake Science Center (NCS), the first earthquake occurred on Tuesday afternoon, after which the second earthquake of 4.5 magnitude occurred in the evening.

According to the NCS, the intensity of the first earthquake was measured at 4.7, which came at 4.11 am in the evening. The intensity of the earthquake was 4.7. The intensity of the second earthquake in the evening was 4.5, which was recorded at 8.57 pm Indian time.

Although there has been no immediate report of loss of life or property from these earthquakes, there is an atmosphere of fear and anxiety among the people living in the earthquake areas. Myanmar is located in the South-East Asian region’s earthquakes, where small shocks are often felt. Scientists believe that such earthquakes are caused by the speed of plates below the surface.

The local administration has monitored the situation and emphasis is being laid on preparations and emergency measures for the earthquake. Disaster teams from other countries of the world including India have reached Myanmar. He is providing relief to the people by coordinating with local authorities.

India is helping Myanmar from Operation Braha

India started Operation Brahma to provide necessary assistance after the disastrous earthquake in Myanmar on 28 March 2025. The main objective of this operation is to provide search and rescue, humanitarian aid, disaster relief and medical aid. So far, six aircraft and five Indian naval ships have delivered 625 metric tons of humanitarian aid and disaster relief material under the operation. This aid material has been sent to the earthquake affected places with the aim of intensifying relief operations.
