Nagpur: Girlfriend instigated to commit suicide, boyfriend arrested by police – nagpur man arrested for girlfriend suicide abetment LCLAR
30-year-old Sagar Raju Karde has been arrested in New Kamthi police station area of Nagpur on charges of instigating his girlfriend to commit suicide. Police said that the accused and the deceased Piyusha (28) studied in the same college and both had a relationship for a long time. Piyusha had told her family about this relationship.
On December 29, Sagar told Piyusha over phone that his family did not approve of this relationship and he could not marry her. There was a huge dispute between the two regarding this matter. According to the police, a total of 43 calls were made between the two that day.
Instigated girlfriend to commit suicide
At around 5 pm Piyusha went to her room. After some time, when his brother returned home at around 5.30 pm and called him, there was no response. When he peeped through the window, he found Piyusha hanging from the fan.
Police arrested the accused lover
Police said that Piyusha committed suicide due to Sagar’s refusal to marry her. On the complaint of the deceased’s father, a case has been registered against Sagar under section 108 (abetment of suicide) of the Indian Justice Code. Police arrested Sagar on Monday and investigation into the case is ongoing.
