There was a huge uproar on Saturday at a meeting of former Bharatiya Janata Party MP Navneet Rana in Amravati, Maharashtra. During this, the crowd became furious and people threw chairs at Navneet Rana, in which she narrowly escaped.
There was a huge uproar during the campaign rally of BJP leader and former MP Navneet Rana in Khallar village of Daryapur assembly constituency of Amravati district. In this meeting organized in support of Yuva Swabhiman Party candidate Ramesh Bundile, some people threw chairs at Navneet Rana.
Navneet Rana lodged a complaint
Navneet Rana narrowly escaped at the time of the incident. After the situation worsened, Navneet Rana reached Khallar police station and raised questions regarding the security arrangements in the meeting. Due to this incident the political atmosphere in the area has become heated.
Police have started investigating the matter and the situation is being closely monitored. After this incident Navneet Rana reached Khallar police station to lodge a complaint. The police have made strict arrangements at the incident site and currently there is peace.
Received threat last month
Last month in October, a letter was sent to former MP Navneet Rana threatening him and a demand of Rs 10 crore was made. After Navneet Rana’s complaint, the police registered the case and started investigation. A person named Aamir had sent a letter to the former MP of Amravati through speed post and demanded money.
Rana’s personal secretary Vinod Guhe has lodged a formal complaint at Rajapeth police station in Amravati, alleging that the letter was found by an employee at Rana’s residence on October 11.
