When oxygen starts decreasing in a closed space and carbon monoxide increases, it has a direct impact on humans. The supply of oxygen to the heart, brain and other parts of the body reduces. In such a situation, the blood supply to the heart starts getting disrupted. Due to lack of oxygen, other tissues become unable to pump blood in the right amount. This causes a serious heart attack (cardiac arrest). That is why it is suggested that one should never sleep with a heater or fire lit in the room. Due to this the oxygen reduces. There is a possibility of suffocation or heart attack.
