A 34-year-old woman died while her husband got seriously burnt in a fire in a garment store in Chhijarasi village of Sector-63 police station area of ​​Noida in the early hours of Tuesday. As soon as information about the incident was received, fire brigade vehicles and police reached the spot. The body was taken into custody and sent for post-mortem and the injured were admitted to the hospital for treatment.

According to the police, this incident happened around 3:30 in the morning. The shop is two-storeyed and as soon as information about the fire was received, four fire tenders reached the spot. When the incident occurred, shop owner Rohit Sharma and his wife Vineeta were sleeping on the first floor of the building.

Both were seriously burnt in the fire. The fire department rescued her and immediately admitted her to a nearby hospital, where Vineeta died during treatment. Rohit Sharma is undergoing treatment and his condition still remains critical.

Police registered the case and started investigation

Police said that information was received about fire on the first floor of KS Cloth House and Readymade Garments shop on the main road of Chijarsi village of Police Station Sector-63 area. On receiving the information, four vehicles of the fire service unit rushed to the spot and after reaching the spot, the fire fighters completely extinguished the fire. The probable cause of the fire could be short circuit, investigation into the incident is ongoing.
