Security officials said in the train case hijacked by the Baloch Liberation Army in Pakistan, on Tuesday, at least 13 terrorists were killed and 80 passengers were saved by security forces after suspected Baloch militants hijacked the train in a tunnel in a tunnel in Pakistan’s disturbed Balochistan province on Tuesday.
Jaffer Express was going from Quetta to Peshawar with about 500 passengers in nine bogies. On Tuesday morning, armed men stopped it in a tunnel near the hilly areas of Gudler and Piru Kunari.
According to the agency, Balochistan government spokesman Shahid Rind said, “Security forces have succeeded in saving 80 passengers from a bogie – 43 men, 26 women and 11 children.”
However, he said that about 400 passengers are left in the train, which are still stranded inside the tunnel, because the encounter with security forces and fighters is going on. Rind said that the passenger going to Peshawar has been sent to the rescue team amid reports of strong firing on the train.
