Case filed against retired judge and his wife, accused of abetment of domestic assistant to suicide – Ex Judge Wife Booked for Abetment after COOK Committees Suicide in Lucknow LCLK

A case of abetment of suicide has been registered against a retired judge and his wife for suicide in Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow. The family of the deceased alleges that he was being tortured by the couple, due to which he committed suicide.
According to the report of the news agency, retired judge Anil Srivastava and his wife Vandana, who live in Aliganj area of Lucknow, have been accused of harassing his domestic assistant Mahesh Nishad.
Mahesh Nishad was working as a cook in the Srivastava couple’s house for the last few years. It is alleged that around Holi, the couple accused him of theft and persistent mental harassment.
On Tuesday, Mahesh Nishad hanged himself in his house after being troubled by constant harassment. At that time no other members were present in the house. Before the suicide, Mahesh recorded a video, in which he said that he was not involved in the theft and someone else committed the crime.
In the video, Mahesh expressed his mental anguish and demanded justice. The minor son of the deceased also released a video saying that ‘my father was implicated in false charges and the police is not listening to us.’ On the complaint of the family, a case has been registered against the retired judge and his wife at Hazratganj police station and it is being investigated.
