After the accident, pictures of the dead have been installed outside the Morchari of the Medical College, so that their families can identify them. There was a stampede in Mahakumbh on Mauni Amavasya, in which 30 people lost their lives and 60 people were injured. After this accident, the administration has issued some major changes and new orders to control the crowd. For crowd management, major changes have been made for those coming from Mahakumbh Mela area to Prayagraj Commissionerate.
This includes the rules from no vehicle zone to one-way root. Earlier, the vehicles of all the big officials, leaders, office bearers were coming to the confluence till midnight and dawn of bathing. After Makar Sankranti and Mauni Amavasya in the Mahakumbh Mela area, there will be no VIP, VVIP movement till the remaining three ‘Amrit Snan’ and one day before that. The fair administration has also canceled all types of movement and VIP pass till 4 February. Now the Kumbh Mela area has been declared a no-vehicle zone.
