Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal is going to meet Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, party ministers, MLAs and MPs in Delhi today. This meeting will be held at Kapurthala House in Delhi from 11 am. Kejriwal has called this meeting of his leaders of Punjab amid discussion of increasing internal dissatisfaction in the state unit of the party. Opposition parties- Congress and BJP have claimed that former Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal is preparing to remove Bhagwant Mann from the post of Punjab CM.
According to party sources, Kejriwal has called this meeting of Punjab ministers, MLAs and MPs to discuss the Delhi assembly elections and take their feedback. Because these leaders actively campaigned for party candidates in the national capital. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, his cabinet minister, MPs, MLAs and more than 200 leaders, including the state unit officials, were camping in Delhi for weeks for campaigning. Party sources said that the agenda of the meeting is to analyze the Delhi election results and strategy for the Punjab assembly elections to be held in early 2027.

The Aam Aadmi Party may be calling it an organizational meeting, but it intensified the failure of fulfilling the election promises in Punjab and the growing tension between Kejriwal and Manna. Opposition parties have also questioned the meeting of representatives of the Punjab government in Delhi. The Congress alleges that the rule of Punjab is not Bhagwant respect, but Arvind Kejriwal is running in Delhi. Here, BJP leader Tarun Chugh has claimed that the countdown of Maan government has started in Punjab. Delhi BJP MLA Mazinder Singh Sirsa has warned Bhagwant Mann that Kejriwal is planning to remove him from the post.
Pratap Bajwa Claimed to break in AAP
Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly Pratap Singh Bajwa said, “More than 30 AAP MLAs in Punjab are in touch with us.” While Congress MP from Gurdaspur Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa predicted mid -term elections. He said, ‘It depends on how many AAP MLAs change. Congress is the only option for AAP MLAs, because BJP has no future in the state.
AAP MP Malvinder Singh Kang said, ‘Pratap Singh Bajwa is dreaming impossible- just like Mungerilal. His own brother (Fatehjung Bajwa) joined the BJP. Senior AAP spokesperson Neil Garg accused Manjinder Singh Sirsa of ‘spreading rumors’ to please the BJP leadership. He said, ‘Bhagwant Mann is leading the stable government in Punjab. Sirsa should now worry about fulfilling the pre -election promises of BJP in Delhi.

Cabinet meeting not held in Punjab for 5 months
After Kejriwal’s meeting was called, the Punjab government postponed the cabinet meeting on Monday, which was to be held after about 5 months to fix the dates of the state budget session. BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh said, ‘Delhi got rid of AAP and now Punjab also wants to get rid of it. Bhagwant Maan Sarkar has failed to deal with liquor, sand and mining mafia in Punjab.
Political analysts believe that after the defeat in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal should have gone to Punjab himself by not calling Bhagwant Mann, Punjab ministers and MLAs for the meeting. His move strengthens the claim of the Congress that the government of Punjab is being run from Delhi and the ‘high command’ of AAP is omnipotent instead of the public representatives elected by the public. Arvind Kejriwal needed to be sensitive to regional sentiments.
Congress’s Punjab in -charge Devendra Yadav said in a conversation with a news paper, ‘Aam Aadmi Party MLAs are restless about being controlled from Delhi. Now when Kejriwal has lost in Delhi, unrest in the Punjab unit of AAP is increasing. The Punjab government is running as Bhagwant or Arvind Kejriwal, this uncertainty may break up in Punjab AAP. Because there has been dissatisfaction among the MLAs for some time on this issue.
