Rakul Preet Singh, who is a known face in both – Bollywood and South Indian cinema, has been captivating audiences with many performances in the past years. With a filmography spanning multiple languages, she enjoys a massive fan base across the nation, making her a prominent figure in the entertainment industry. As she traces her journey in the Indian film industry, Rakul decided to address the subject of nepotism and insisted that eventually ‘talent’ wins the race.

During a masterclass session at IFFI 2024, Rakul Preet responded to a question on nepotism and said, “We make too much of it. Today if you have worked for so many years and tomorrow for my kids, will I not give them that access. It’s like saying, that my dad is a top surgeon.. but he is like, I won’t tell you at all how to study in MMBS) I mean No. That goes on In the country.. one generation definitely benefits from it, but they will last only if they work hard enough.. coming back to what he was saying… I feel like we make too much of it.. ultimately you will last only if you deliver.”
For the unversed, Rakul Preet Singh too started off her journey without any prior backing in the industry. The actress has often shared about her middle-class upbringing and values which continues to be a part of her life even today.
As for her appearance in IFFI 2024, fans were quite surprised to see the actress attending this event in Goa as she recently sustained a major back injury. However, sources close to the actress revealed that Rakul has made a strong recovery and hence decided to attend the International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
On the work front, Rakul will be seen in De De Pyaar De 2 alongside Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan. The film is a sequel to De De Love De which released in 2019. Following this, she will appear in My Husband’s Wife and also has the gripping drama Ameri in the pipeline.
