Mumbai court has sentenced filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma to three months’ imprisonment in the check bouncing case and asked him to pay compensation of Rs 3.72 lakh. Verma was not present in the court. The punishment came a day before the announcement of his upcoming film ‘Syndicate’.
