Today, the festival of Ram Navami is celebrating with pomp across the country. Ram devotees continue to arrive in different shrines of the country including Ayodhya, Kashi, Delhi, Nagpur, Kolkata to worship in the temples since morning. Strict security arrangements have been made for the grand ceremony to be held on the occasion of Ram Navami in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. Ramnagari is decorated with flowers and leaves and colorful lights. The main gate and Ram temple of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi are also decorated with colorful flowers. More than 50 Ramnavami processions including five major processions in Kolkata are expected to be taken out, in view of which the police has tightened the security system. An alert has been issued regarding Ram Navami in 42 cities of UP with mixed population.

Additional police forces have been deployed in these districts. Big police officers have tried to awaken trust in the people by taking out a flag march. West Bengal is also a very sensitive state in terms of Ramnavami. In the last few years, communal tension has been seen in different cities on the occasion of Ram Navami. In this sense, the Bengal Police is in alert mode regarding security. More than 13,500 policemen have been deployed in Mumbai before the Ram Navami celebrations to ensure peace and to prevent any untoward incident. According to the Hindu calendar, this festival is celebrated on the ninth day of Chaitra month. According to Hindu texts and Puranas, Lord Rama was born on this day, hence it is called Ram Navami.

Commissioner of Ayodhya Division Gaurav Dayal said that all preparations have been completed by the administration for the success of the devotees coming to Ayodhya on Ram Navami festival. All the special passes for the Ram temple will be canceled during the busy time from 9 am to the afternoon and regular pilgrims will be given priority to visit Ramlala in the temple. To protect the devotees from heat and sunlight, tents and mats have been arranged at major sites including Ram temple and Hanuman Garhi. Cold drinking water will be available at all major sites. In view of the heat, ORS solution will be available at all officers and all temporary health centers of the fair area.

Here, additional 5,000 policemen have been deployed in Kolkata city. Special security arrangements have been made for Ramnavami, considering at least 10 districts sensitive to Ram Navami, including Howrah, Siliguri, Malda, Murshidabad, Cooch Behar, Islampur, Asansol-Durgapur, Barrackpur and Chandannagar, as special security arrangements have been made for Ramnavami. There is a ban on playing DJs during the Ram Navami procession in Bhagalpur, Bihar. The administration has said that if the order is not obeyed, the police will seize the DJ. On Ramnavami, police is also in alert mode in many major cities of Jharkhand so that the miscreants do not get any chance to spoil the atmosphere. CM Hemant Soren has ordered a ban on the new tradition of bike rally in the state on Ram Navami.

In Hyderabad, the police has banned the DJ in the Ram Navami procession. BJP leader T Raja Singh has gone to Bifir for this order. He said, ‘I just came to know from the local police that we cannot take DJ. On this, I will say, if you have the power to stop, then show it, this time we will take out a bigger journey, oh we did not stop in 2010. Even if the CM himself comes on the road and will come to stop the Shobha Yatra, the Shobha Yatra will not stop. A big procession comes out on Ram Navami in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh. The police have deployed 500 personnel to provide security to this procession. At the same time, the roofs of all the houses falling on the paths through the procession will pass through that brick and stones have not been kept.
