Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who recently won hearts for her performance as Honey in the spy thriller Citadel: Honey Bunny, seems to have been diagnosed with Chikungunya – a viral infection transmitted through mosquitoes. The actress left her fans concerned when she shared about the same on her social media handle but at the same time, she also assured them stating that she is on the road to recovery.

The actress took to her official Instagram page to share a story of her at the gym where she was seen working out as her personal trainer was heard giving instructions. In the same video, Samantha Ruth Prabhu also confessed about suffering from extreme joint pains, which is one of the major symptoms of the infection. In fact, many of the patients who were diagnosed with Chikungunya have revealed that the joint pains continue for months after they recover from the infection. Adding about the same in the caption, Samantha said, “Recovering from Chikungunya is so fun. The joints pains and ALL” she added with a tinge of sarcasm. The video was also reposted by many social media users on her fan-pages.
