UP News: A major revelation has been made during the excavation of the historical stepwell in Chandausi, Sambhal. Here, after digging 12 feet, the workers have found the floor of the first floor of the stepwell. After this, curiosity has increased among the local people and history lovers. This stepwell of Chandausi was buried under a pile of mud and garbage for many decades. Inside it there are ancient stone structures. There are internal routes. The ASI survey team has inspected the 150-year-old stepwell found during excavation in Laxmanganj area.
The excavation work of Rani Surendra Bala’s stepwell in Sambhal continues for the fourth day today. Excavation is being done inside the stepwell here. Soil is being removed with shovels by forming a human chain. In the excavation done so far, the floor of the first floor of the stepwell has been found. After this, the soil is being removed by loading it into tractors using bulldozers. A crowd of people gathered nearby to see the excavation taking place on the fourth day.

When we talked to a person, he said that we are residents of Chandausi. We came to know that a stepwell has emerged here. There was curiosity in my mind as to what a stepwell was. There is curiosity to see it from inside. There is a desire to know about how it was made in ancient times. Most of the people present in the crowd wanted to know about the stepwell.
Actually, the ancient stepwell here was built by the king for the queen in around 1857. Aseem Aggarwal said that he had heard that a stepwell had emerged here. There is a curiosity to see the stepwell and what is it, what is the stepwell like. Asked whether you had gone there and got any information? On this Asim said that it is being told that there are three rooms inside it, something has been recovered. Some information about this method has been received. Another person said that we had seen that there is a two-storey well here. There was a tap in the middle of the well.
At present, the work of removing soil from inside the stepwell is going on. After emptying it completely, it will be visible how many floors of stepwell are inside it. There is a large crowd of spectators here. Heavy security forces are also deployed there. At present 16 laborers have been employed in the excavation work.
There is neither an ambulance nor a fire brigade for the safety of the workers engaged in digging here. There are no helmets on the heads of the employees? In response to this question, those responsible said that we did not go deeper, we are just cleaning the stairs. As we descend, taking full care of health services, we will inform the senior officials about it, all the services that are available will be provided. The laborers working here were bringing water in bags for drinking. There was no arrangement for bottles. Some workers said that there is no arrangement for us here.
