The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has constituted a judicial commission to investigate the violence that took place during the survey of Jama Masjid in Sambhal on November 24. A three-member judicial commission has been constituted under the chairmanship of retired Justice DK Arora of Allahabad High Court.

Along with retired Justice DK Arora, retired IAS Amit Mohan Prasad and former DGP A Jain are also included in the commission. The Commission will investigate whether the violence in Sambhal was a coordinated conspiracy or a sudden incident. Apart from this, the inquiry commission will also investigate the role of people behind the Sambhal violence.

Commission will submit report within two months

This commission has to submit its report within two months. The commission will also give its suggestions to the government to prevent such incidents in future. On Thursday itself, a petition was filed in Allahabad High Court to investigate the Sambhal violence.

Hearing in Supreme Court today

Let us tell you that today the Supreme Court will hear the petition filed by the management committee of Shahi Jama Masjid of Sambhal. In this petition, the November 19 order of the district court has been challenged, in which instructions were given to survey the Mughal era mosque. In the petition, a demand has been made to impose a unilateral stay on the implementation of the order of November 19 passed by the civil judge.

It said, “The haste with which the permission for the survey was granted and the survey conducted within a day and suddenly a second survey was conducted with just six hours’ notice has led to widespread communal tension and to the secular and democratic taunts of the country.” “The weft is in danger.” A bench headed by Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna is going to hear the petition filed by the committee.

4 people died

Tension has been rife in Sambhal since November 19, when the royal Jama Masjid was surveyed on court orders as it was claimed that the site previously housed the Harihar Temple. Violence broke out in Sambhal on 24 November when protesters gathered near a mosque and clashed with security personnel. Four people died and many others were injured in the violence.
