It is a well-known fact that the team of Indian including S Shankar, Kamal Haasan, and others have kicked off work on the third installment of IndianDuring the promotional activities of sequel, Indian 2the team had already revealed that they had started shooting for the third part which is expected to be a spin-off of sorts of the second one. Now, in a recent report, Shankar has ambitiously expressed his desire to aim at releasing Indian 3 in six months.

While Shankar witnessed not-so favorable reviews for Indian 2followed by another debacle with Game Changer, the filmmaker has now shifted his complete attention to the next instalment. Furthermore, he has also asserted fans that the film will be releasing this year itself by the second half of 2025. In an interview with Behindwoods, he said, “I will now focus on Indian 3We are going to start work very soon. If we start now, we can complete it and release it in 6 months. There is extensive VFX work and some patchwork shooting,” he updated on the progress.

In an earlier interview with Vikatan, Shankar had opened up about the debacle of Indian 2 wherein he had reacted to the bad reviews coming his way for the Kamal Haasan starrer. “I tried to convey a good thought. That way, I am happy. ‘If the house is clean, then the nation will be clean’ is a wonderful and necessary thought. Although it is a question of how it can be practically implemented, it is still important,” he shared.
About Indian 3
From what we hear, the film will feature stars from the second installment which includes Siddharth and Rakul Preet Singh. However, Kajal Aggarwal, who merely had a blink-and-miss mention in the sequel, will be seen in a meatier role in this upcoming actioner. Also putting an end to speculations about the film opting for a direct-to-OTT release, Indian 3 is expected to hit cinemas soon.
