Delhi politics is once again in the news. Especially when Congress has made Sandeep Dikshit, son of former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, its candidate from New Delhi Assembly seat. Arvind Kejriwal had defeated Sheila Dikshit in 2013 and 2015, making this election a special opportunity for Sandeep Dikshit to avenge his mother’s defeat.
Sandeep Dixit has continued the series of political attacks on Arvind Kejriwal for a long time. Therefore, in this high profile contest, they will once again raise their voice against Kejriwal. BJP has not yet announced its candidate, but there is talk that former West Delhi MP Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma may be in the electoral fray. If this happens, then the contest will be between the sons of two former Chief Ministers and Arvind Kejriwal.
