Highlighting the need to remember such figures, Sonali remarked, “We celebrate many occasions, but it’s equally important to honor someone like Savitribai Phule, whose efforts opened doors for women’s education in India. Her sacrifices are a source of inspiration for generations.”
The chiri, a traditional symbol of respect and empowerment, holds special meaning for Sonali. She has made it a personal tradition to wear the chiri every 3rd January to honor Savitribai’s contributions and encouraged others to join this initiative.
Sonali’s tribute not only highlights Savitribai Phule’s achievements but also encourages reflection on the ongoing significance of education and equality in society. Recently, Sonali returned from a family vacation in Delhi, where she celebrated the New Year with her husband and daughter.
