The murder of a lawyer this morning created a sensation in Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh. A lawyer riding a scooter has been shot dead. According to the police, initial investigation suggests that the crime was committed due to personal rivalry. At present, the investigation is ongoing. SP and other officials have inspected the spot.
According to the news agency, officials said that on Wednesday morning, bike-borne assailants shot dead a 38-year-old lawyer in the Bahjoi police station area of Sambhal. The police have detained a person in connection with the murder. The miscreants stopped the scooter by giving their hand and then fired bullets at Will.
The family of the deceased said that lawyer Satyapal was returning to his home in Bahjoi on a scooty after collecting milk from Baneta village, when he was shot near Bahjoi power house. Satyapal’s brother Naresh Kumar alleged, “A person named Ganesh was also included in the attackers, with whom I had an old enmity over the marriage dispute of my brother.”
Meanwhile, Sambhal Superintendent of Police Krishna Kumar Bishnoi said that the police had received information about firing near Bahjoi power plant on emergency number 112. Officers reached the spot and took the injured to the hospital. Later he was referred to Moradabad, but he died on the way.
The SP further said that in the initial investigation, Ganesh is suspected of having an ongoing enmity. A motorcycle is visible near the crime scene in the CCTV footage. One person has been detained and investigation is ongoing. The entire matter will be unveiled soon.
