In reply, Punjab team could score only 179 runs for seven wickets. Captain Abhishek Sharma scored 61 runs in 36 balls. Kumar Karthikeya Singh and Mohammad Arshad took three wickets each for Madhya Pradesh. In the Group A match in Rajkot, fast bowler Mohammed Shami gave away 46 runs in four overs but Bengal defeated Mizoram by eight wickets.

In the Group C match, Jammu and Kashmir bowled out Arunachal Pradesh for 32 runs. This is the lowest score of the tournament since Tripura’s 30 against Jharkhand in 2009. Medium fast bowler Aaqib Nabi took three wickets and left arm spinner Abid Mushtaq took four wickets for two runs. Jammu and Kashmir achieved the target in just three overs. Rajasthan defeated Hyderabad by 24 runs in the Group A match in Rajkot.
