Four Class 9 students studying at St. Ann’s High Boarding School in Visakhapatnam have been missing since Monday. After receiving the news of the missing students, the boarding hostel management checked the CCTV cameras and found all four students climbing the wall of the hostel and going out. The management informed the parents of the students about the incident and inquired about them. He told that his children have not come home. After this, the hostel management lodged a missing complaint at Maharani Peta Police Station.
Had seen the movie ‘Lucky Bhaskar’ before running away
Initial investigation revealed that the four missing students had watched actor Dulquer Salmaan’s film ‘Lucky Bhaskar’ a day earlier. It is being told that after watching the film, the four students had told their friends that when they return, they will have a car, bungalow and a lot of money.
A student had 400 rupees
The four students who escaped by climbing the wall of the boarding hostel, 1. Bodapati Charan Teja son of Srinivas Rao, 2. Gudala Raghu son of Appa Rao, 3. Nakkala Kira Kumar son of Satyam and 4. Karthik son of Appa Rao were studying in 9th class. One of the students had Rs 12,000, out of which Rs 8,000 was paid as fees and left the hostel with the remaining Rs 4,000.
Special police team engaged in investigation
Police have formed a special team to trace the missing students using CCTV footage. Efforts are underway to trace the students and ensure their safe return.
