A shocking case has come to light from Udhna police station area of Surat city. An elderly resident here was murdered by none other than his adopted son. After killing his father, the adopted son stole money and jewelery from the house. After this, he went to the shopping mall to buy goods with the stolen money. After shopping, the killer son reached Kolkata by flight.
The case pertains to Parmeshwar Das, resident of Patel Nagar Society of Udhna police station area. Parmeshwar Das lived in Surat with his wife. The couple had no children, so they adopted their brother’s son. Three-four days ago, the adopted son strangled Parmeshwar Das to death. The police took the body of Parmeshwar Das into custody and sent it to the hospital for post-mortem.

DCP said this in the matter
DCP Bhagirath Gadhvi said that three-four days ago, the body of a person was recovered from Patel Nagar of Udhna police station area after his natural death. The police had registered a case of unnatural death in this case and sent the body for post-mortem. The post-mortem revealed that the deceased had been strangled to death. After this the police started a detailed investigation. Police came to know from CCTV that a suspicious person was moving there. The CCTV was shown to the deceased man’s wife, who told that it could be her adopted son, who is her brother’s son.
When the police started investigation, it was found that Krishna worked in a hotel near Kolkata. A lot of inquiries were made about him. There he was interrogated and brought to Udhna in Surat. He had committed murder and he also confessed. He earlier worked in a hotel and came to Surat by train from Kolkata. He stopped at the house of deceased Parmeshwar Das and had food and then both of them slept. Meanwhile, the wife of the deceased had gone to work. When Parmeshwar Das was sleeping, Sagar Das tried to open the box kept in his house.
Absconded with 90 thousand rupees and gold locket
Meanwhile, Parmeshwar Das woke up and seeing him, Sagar Das, the accused in this case, strangled his father to death with his scarf. After this, he took 90 thousand rupees and the gold locket kept in it from the house and after taking Parmeshwar Das’s mobile and booked a flight to Kolkata from there, he went straight to Kolkata at night.
Initially the police did not know where he had gone so quickly. Later, after thorough investigation, it was found that Sagar Das was the adopted son of the deceased and he had murdered his father out of greed for money. The arrested accused Sagar Das was living here even 10 years ago. Stayed there only for about one and a half year. During this period, twenty-five thousand rupees were stolen from Parmeshwar Das’s house. As soon as he came to know about the theft, he sent his adopted son back. Later, for the same reason, he came to Surat again. This information has just been received from him during his interrogation. Further investigation is underway.
