Indian Army works on war footing to bring 4G connectivity to remote Ladakh locations including the LAC ntc

Indian Army in collaboration with Airtel has achieved significant success in connecting remote areas of Ladakh with 4G technology. Under this project, 4G network has been installed in more than 20 inaccessible places in the Union Territory of Ladakh. The work was completed during the ongoing work period, made possible at an altitude of more than 13,000 feet and harsh weather conditions of minus 40 degrees Celsius. These include border villages and areas along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), where Indian soldiers are preparing to face another harsh winter.
Extensive planning and efforts were made to execute this project. Difficult geographical conditions, steep hills and limited access made this task challenging, but the Army and Airtel overcame these obstacles and achieved success.
The installation of 4G towers will not only revolutionize communication for local residents, but will also strengthen strategic connectivity. It will also play an important role in emergency services and relief operations. Additionally, the project will help in promoting social and economic activities, strengthening educational opportunities and ensuring better access to essential services.
Underscoring the strategic importance of the project, a senior Indian Army officer said, “Ensuring strong communication channels in these high altitude areas is essential not only for military operations but also for the welfare of the local population. “The completion of this project is a symbol of our commitment towards national security and regional development.”
This 4G network will bring new opportunities to local communities and encourage development of the region, thereby boosting education and employment opportunities.
