Five PG students of Saifai Medical College died in a horrific road accident in Tirwa area on Lucknow-Agra Expressway late Tuesday night. Doctor Nardev Gangwar of Nawabganj area of Bareilly is also included among the dead. The accident happened when while returning from the wedding ceremony, the Innova car collided with the divider and crossed to the other lane and collided with a truck.
This accident happened at kilometer number 196 of the expressway at 3:43 am. According to the police, the car number was UP 80 HB 0703, which broke the divider and came to the other lane and collided with the truck (RJ 09 CD 3455). In this collision, five people died on the spot, while one person was seriously injured.
Five people died in road accident
The deceased have been identified as Anirudh Verma (Agra), Santosh Maurya (Bhadohi), Arun Kumar (Kannauj), Nardev Gangwar (Bareilly), and an unidentified person. Injured Jaiveer Singh (Moradabad) is undergoing treatment.
Dr. Nardev Gangwar was a resident of Nawabganj area of Bareilly and was the first doctor in the family. His dream was to open a multi-specialty hospital in his area, but this accident became a deep shock for his family.
Police registered the case and started investigation
According to the family, Nardev was very dedicated towards studies. He was leaving his friend’s party early and returning to Saifai so that the children’s studies in the class were not disrupted. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the family due to his demise.
