Pakistan Militant Attack Record

The incident of terrorist attacks in Pakistan has increased in recent times, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces. A recent report by the Center for Research and Security Studies (CRSS), a major think tank in Pakistan, stated that the death toll of militants in the first quarter of 2025 in the last 12 years was more than the common citizens and security forces for the first time.
What information did Pakistan’s think tank give?
A report by the think tank Center for Research and Security Studies stated that a total of 495 terrorists were killed in the first quarter of 2025. Which was more than 402, the joint death figures of security forces and citizens. In the case of terrorist incidents, the deaths of common citizens decreased by 50 per cent. While the deaths of security personnel decreased by 13 per cent. At the same time, the deaths of terrorists recorded a jump of 20 per cent.
From January to March 2025, 897 people died and 542 people were injured in terrorist attacks and retaliation. In the last quarter of 2024, 1028 deaths were recorded. The case of violence in the first quarter of 2025 has registered a 13 per cent decrease in the case of violence in the first quarter of 2024.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan become the center of violence
Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan province are the centers of violence. 98 percent of Pakistan’s deaths were recorded in these two provinces. In the first quarter of 2025, the last quarter ratio of 2024 declined by 18 per cent in deaths. During this period, 63 per cent of terror deaths occurred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

35 percent of deaths were recorded in Balochistan. However, there was an increase of 15 percent in violent incidents related to terror. A total of 94 percent of terrorist violent incidents were reported in both the provinces.
Fear of increasing violence in 2025
The report feared that the number of deaths may increase further in 2025. By the end of 2025, more than 3600 deaths can occur. If the trend of violence continues by the terrorists, then the year of 2025 is going to be very bad for Pakistan.

Violence continues in Ramadan
Even in the holy month of Ramadan, there is a period of terrorist attacks in Pakistan. 313 people died and 217 were injured in the terrorist attack during Ramadan. The responsibility of these attacks has been taken by the banned organizations Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, Balochistan Liberation Army, Sidhidesh Revolutionary Army and TTP-Gul Bahadur Group.
