Violent clashes are taking place between workers of Imran’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and security forces. Imran’s appeal to supporters – fight till the last ball, do not back down

On the other hand, former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan told his supporters camping in Islamabad to fight till the last ball and not back down. Imran said in a message from Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi that I salute the people of Pakistan and the workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) who are standing up for their rights, participating in peaceful protests and fighting for the truth. Courageously facing the mafia imposed on our country to demand freedom and justice. Imran Khan, who is in jail in several cases since August 2023, said that my message to my team is clear, fight till the last ball. We will not back down until our demands are met. He said that those who have not yet joined the protest march should reach Islamabad’s D-Chowk for a peaceful protest and not leave until their demands are met.

Imran also revealed that he was threatened with trial in a military court. Imran said that I have a clear message for those who are threatening to prosecute in military courts – you can do whatever you want, I will not back down from my stand.

Rangers fired on the workers

At the same time, on the orders of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Rangers and police opened fire on PTI workers, due to which peaceful civilians were killed and injured. Imran Khan said that Naqvi will be held accountable for this, despite the brutality, our people not only remained peaceful but also helped rescue the injured police and Rangers personnel who attacked them.

Police released tear gas shells

In the pictures emerging from the protest site, Imran Khan’s supporters can be seen facing tear gas and climbing on the shipping containers kept on the roads leading to D-Chowk. D-Chowk is located close to many important government buildings, including Rashtrapati Bhavan, Prime Minister’s Office, Parliament and the Supreme Court.

Top PTI leaders announced to stay in the city until Imran Khan is released from jail. Meanwhile, a case has been registered against Imran Khan and other PTI leaders under the Anti-Terrorism Act for their alleged role in the killing of a police officer during a protest march on Tuesday.
