UP: Three policemen absconded after being suspended for demanding ransom from the farmer – 3 COPS Booked for Abducting Farmer for Ransom in Bareilly Up LCLK

A shocking incident has come to light in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, where a case has been registered against the police post in -charge and two soldiers for the kidnapping and ransom of a farmer. Departmental inquiry has been started by suspending all these.
According to the report of the news agency, on Friday, SSP Anurag Arya said that an FIR has been lodged against Fatehganj police post in -charge Balveer Singh and constables Mohit Chaudhary and Himanshu under the sections of kidnapping, threatening and forcibly recovery. The SSP has immediately suspended the three and ordered departmental action against them.
The case started on Thursday night, when farmer Balveer, a resident of Bhitora village in Fatehganj area, was forcibly picked up from his house and taken to a private location (rubber factory colony).
Policemen first searched the farmer’s house and then threatened to implicate him in false charges of smuggling smack and asked for a ransom of Rs 2 lakh. Balveer has no criminal record. On receiving information about this incident, Balveer’s family immediately informed Dr. Rakesh Singh, IG of Bareilly range and SSP Anurag Arya.
On the instructions of SSP, CO (Highway) Nilesh Mishra was sent on the spot. By the time he reached the spot, the accused policemen had escaped from there. Nilesh Mishra rescued Balveer safely and submitted a detailed report of the entire matter to the SSP. The SSP said that the three accused policemen are absconding at this time and special police teams have been formed to arrest them. Also, departmental inquiry has also started.
