Entry in Indian veteran CSK, who has coached Australia, will be seen in bowling now – CSK Appoints Sridharan Sriram as Assistant Bowling Coach

New Delhi: Former Indian all -rounder Sreedharan Shriram will be the assistant bowling coach of Chennai Super Kings in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) phase. The five -time champion team announced this on Monday. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) posted on ‘X’ while announcing, ‘Salute to our assistant bowling coach Shriram Sreedharan. Sreedharan, who gave coaching for many years from Chepock’s pitch to Australia and Bangladesh, has gone on this new journey with pride. Coach) and Eric will work with Simmons (bowling advisor). CSK’s spin bowling lineup includes R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Shreyas Gopal, Noor Ahmed, Deepak Hooda and Rachin Ravindra. Sreedharan (49 years) will replace Dwayne Bravo who has now joined the mentor (guide) of the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders.

Sriram’s coaching Australian bowlers have done wonders

Shriram has earlier worked as an assistant coach of Australia till 2016-2022 and has later worked as a T20 Advisor of Bangladesh for the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup. He also worked as a technical advisor before the ODI World Cup. In the IPL, he has worked with Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) and Lucknow Super Giants.

CSK failed to make it to the playoffs in the last session and ranked fifth from Royal Challengers Bangalore at net run rate. CSK will take on the home ground with Mumbai Indians in its opening match of IPL on 23 March. The tournament will begin a day before the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Eden Gardens.
