When Bollywood actor Jimmy Shergill entered the industry, he was kept in the list of actors with the image of ‘chocolate boy’. In the beginning of his career, he also got many such romantic roles. But in the last few years, his onscreen personality has become different. Now he has started appearing in negative and dark characters also.
Gradually, he has continuously changed his image. Now Jimmy has explained the reason behind this. He told how he deliberately decided that he had to change his ‘chocolate boy’ image and today he has already changed it.
Why did Jimmy change his image?
In a new interview, Jimmy said that he deliberately started exploring different types of characters because he did not want to be stereotyped. He said that only because of changing his image he is able to survive in the industry for a long time.
While talking to Hindustan Times, Jimmy said, ‘I realized that if I keep dancing and singing like this, I will be able to sit at home in 3-4 years. My work will be finished. He further said, ‘That’s when films like ‘Haasil’, ‘Munnabhai MBBS’, ‘A Wednesday’ and ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ came. I tried to make my look more real without makeup, and tried to bring a hardness to the face. I didn’t think it would be so hard now. Now the challenge is to go back and try to bring back that innocence.
Jimmy’s new film is coming soon
Jimmy was recently seen in Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey starrer ‘Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba’. In the same year, he was also seen playing an important role in the film ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ with Ajay Devgan and Tabu.
Jimmy will soon be seen in OTT platform Netflix’s new film ‘Sikandar Ka Muqaddar’. In this film he is playing the role of a cop. Avinash Tiwari and Tamannaah Bhatia are also with him in the film. ‘Sikandar Ka Muqaddar’ is a mystery-thriller, whose trailer has been liked a lot. This film will be released on Netflix on November 29.
