The Patiala House Court ordered Rana to be sent to the 18 -day NIA custody during the late night hearing. The investigating agency had demanded 20 days of custody of Tahavvur Rana, but the court approved 18 days custody. After this, Tahwwur Rana has been taken from the court to NIA headquarters in Kara Surjha. Tahwwur Rana will spend the night in the headquarters of NIA.
According to sources, Rana will be placed in a lockup on the ground floor of NIA headquarters. This morning, the special team of NIA will interrogate Tawwur Rana. This inquiry will be made in the questioning room on the third floor of the headquarters.

The investigating agency issued a press release informing that Tawwur Hussain Rana was detained on Thursday evening. This action was taken on the orders of a special court in Delhi. Now Tahwwur Rana will be in NIA custody for 18 days. During this time, the NIA will interrogate him and gather information about the entire conspiracy of the 2008 Mumbai attacks. 166 people died in these attacks and more than 238 people were injured.
The NIA further said that after many years of efforts, Rana got Rana extradition. In the US courts, Rana made several attempts to stop extradition, but in the end all the petitions were dismissed. Even the US Supreme Court did not get relief. India’s Foreign Ministry and Ministry of Home Affairs completed this action in collaboration with the US FBI, US Department of Justice and other agencies. Rana was brought from a special aircraft to Delhi from Los Angeles, USA, including senior NIA and NSG officials.
