Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday announced the change of names of three villages in Ujjain district. These include Maulana, Gajnikhedi and Jahangirpur villages. While announcing, the CM said that the pen gets stuck when writing the name of Maulana village, hence now it will be known as Vikram Nagar.
Apart from this, CM Mohan Yadav also announced to change the name of Jahangirpur to Jagdishpur and Gajnikhedi to Chamunda Mata Nagari. On Sunday, the Chief Minister was on a tour of Ujjain and Indore. During this time, he had come to inaugurate CM Rise School in Badnagar, Ujjain.

CM Mohan said, “In Maulana village, people are becoming an example of entrepreneurship on their own. Here the machines are available which are found in areas like Punjab and Haryana. But I did not understand what is there with this name inside the village. If the work is done on one’s own in the industrial sector then it is done in Maulana village but if one writes the name then it gets stuck as I come from Raja Vikramaditya’s city. Maulana’s name will be changed to Vikramnagar.”
Gajnikhedi will be known as Chamunda Mata Nagari.
After changing the name of Gajnikhedi Panchayat to Chamunda Mata Nagari, the CM said that the Collector is present here. You invite proposal for new development inside Gajnikhedi. We all declare our approval from here. After this, the name of Jahangirpur Gram Panchayat will now be changed to Jagdishpur. Our Panchayat will now be known as Jagdishpur.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that when the names of other cities can be changed, then why can’t we change the names of our panchayats. Therefore, now the names of villages and cities will be kept according to the public sentiments.
