The much-awaited show, The Roshanswas released yesterday on Netflix. As the title suggests, it’s about the Roshan family and their immense contribution to cinema. Many actors, directors, music composers, singers and lyricists who had worked with Roshan, Rajesh Roshan, Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan also gave interviews and their bytes added a lot to the documentary. One of them was none other than superstar Shah Rukh Khan. He worked with Rakesh Roshan in King Uncle (1993), Karan Arjun (1995), coal (1997) and a dance number in his production, Krazzy 4 (2008).

Shah Rukh Khan began by saying, “Rakesh ji has a distinct style of saying ‘Action’ and ‘Cut it’. You know, it scares you!” He further said, “I think I used to speak too fast. He was the first director who told me,You can talk comfortably. kill fast, kill fastTake your time.”
He also remarked, “Rakesh Roshan and Rajesh Roshan are like ‘do one lifeThat’s how they are, genuinely like Karan-Arjun. They are the real Karan and Arjun (smiles). That Bandhanthat loveI think both of them have enhanced each other.”
He was all praises for Hrithik Roshan. He said, “He has maintained a kind of balance like, ‘Yaar, my jo yes inner actor Hey, I hope you won’t kill me.I think that keeps him fresh and also relevant.”
SRK revealed, “When Hrithik was being launched, I remember he came to me and said, ‘I am thinking of casting him in Say no, I love you.He asked me,a little young feel nothingI assured,Nahi sir, isko cast do it. a lot handsome hey’Obviously, Duggu is very, very handsome, off and on camera. I had spent a lot of time with him. He used to assist in films.”
About the contribution of the family, Shah Rukh Khan opined, “They are the heroes of their own lives. As they say,Meet someone who doesn’t know anything perfect.They know that unko perfect I found nothing in the world and yet, they took those high-end risks and learned how to face those high points and low points. Yet, they kept moving ahead. All these things are (lessons). More than a legacy, it’s not a work for posterity or remembrance. It is what the elders have passed on to their younger generation. Because of them, all three of them have that grain.”
