The agreement made to put a stop to Jag will be effective from 12.15 pm on Sunday. The release of three female hostages is expected by 4 pm on the first day. Before this, Israel will get the identity of those released before Hamas by Saturday evening.
Many prisoners were killed due to the attack
There was news in the Israeli media on Thursday evening that holding the full cabinet meeting only on Saturday evening could delay the implementation of the agreement from Sunday to Monday. However, Netanyahu’s office later said that the agreement would go into effect on Sunday as planned.
For example, with the declaration of war on October 7 in 2023, Hamas fighters had taken more or less 300 people captive, out of which dozens of people died due to Israeli attack. Apart from these, according to Israeli claims, many hostages were murdered by Hamas.
